Inspired by our upcoming exhibition, Elegance in the Sky: The Architecture of Rosario Candela, curator Donald Albrecht leads a conversation on the history, design, and marketability of these famed addresses with architecture critic Paul Goldberger, architect Peter Pennoyer, and New York real estate executive Elizabeth Stribling. Today, his buildings rank among the most prized in the city, almost one hundred years after they were built. Rosario Candela played a major role in shaping the architectural legacy of twentieth-century New York. Latecomers will be seated at the discretion of management. In the 1920s, architect Rosario Candela designed some of the most iconic buildings in New York, including 740 Park Avenuea staple of luxury living. Rosario Candela was virtually house architect to the Paterno family, designing 20 completed buildings for them. We do not guarantee that any seats will become available.
